Well, it’s that time of the year again and the Welsh Poppies are out in my garden. It’s always great to see them but all the more so today. My exhibition opens on Wednesday 4th May and several books in which welsh poppies feature will be on display.
“Welsh Poppies with Bees” is a small artist book constructed from an accordion fold, made from collagraphs, that are printed onto watercolour paintings. The result is a richly textured surface and a subtle colour palette. This book contrasts with “Cut Out Poppies” which is a tiny book made from pop-ups cut from brightly coloured card.
The exhibition opens on Wednesday 4th May at the Library in Bradford on Avon and runs until Saturday 7th May. It is part of the Cloth Road Arts Week so there are plenty of arty things to see and do.
